Zagori Race 2016 Description
Zagori Race is a digital field guide for the 4 routes of 2016 Zagori Race, ie. the Entry Race (10 km), the Half-Marathon (21 km), the Marathon (42 km) and the demanding Zagori TERA (80 km).The application provides the accurate tracking, as well as the Checkpoints, Supply Stations and Κilometre markers of each race. In the run, the app warns the runner if has lost the race trace and indicates the shortest way to go back. The detailed and up-to-date off-line maps cover a much wider area and include all tourist information. An extended introduction on the nature and the highlights of Zagori area frame the races in their natural and cultural landscape.
The application has been created in collaboration with the North Face Zagori Mountain Running organisation committee and the support of Fifth Element.
The runner can scrutinise the race through its statistic analysis (elevation, vegetation, distances), the detailed description, the checkpoints, the Supply Stations and the Κilometre markers. His friends, could explore the Zagori area with the help of the off-line cartography and the navigation routes to hundreds of POIs of the wider area.
