UNM Campus Locator App Description
The purpose of the Campus Locator Service Application (CLSA) is to develop, implement and distribute a functioning android based application that allows students, employees and guests of the University of New Mexico to easily navigate the campus using a mobile device. Users can navigate to buildings from a list and the application will route the user from their current location to the selected destination.Included destinations are UNM buildings, parking structures, computer pods, some dining locations, housing, and libraries. There are also helpful links in the main menu to help students get information on UNM events, schedules, or log into my.unm.edu. The scope of buildings included reaches beyond just main campus, areas such as Lobo Village and University Arena on south campus are included, as well as areas such as the Health Sciences And Services Building on north campus are included.
If you are a student looking at your class schedule, you can simply type the building abbreviation into the search box in the destination list to route you to your class!
What's new in UNM Campus Locator App 2.0
- Destinations can still appear with a marker without WiFi, cell phone data network, and/or GPS activated.- Routing zoom view has been enhanced to show both destination and current location.
- Satellite mode added to map view.
