Swiss Tournament Description
This application allows user to host a Swiss-style tournament, which is the type of tournament where equally-skilled players face off.This application will
- manage several tournaments
- automatically generate pairings and seat assignments
- keep track of tournament records
- break ties intelligently
- handle byes and drops
- match users whose records are similar
- attempt to avoid rematches
- only allow one bye per tournament
The tournament can have any number of players and any number of rounds up to a complete round-robin tournament.
This application is useful for hosting Magic: The Gathering tournaments, scrabble, chess, or any tournament that requires a Swiss-style pairing. The user interface is designed to be very intuitive, and tournaments can span several days as they are stored to permanent memory on the phone.
