How to setup Sound Meter apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.
Sound Meter Description
Measure your surrounding sounds using just your mobile's microphone and compare the results on a realtime chart.The circular meter displays the live sound level in Decibels and changes its color according to the measured value:
Green: Quiet range
Blue: Low sound range
Orange: Medium sound range
Red: High sound range
Pinch to zoom in and out of the realtime chart and slide your finger to move across the measured values history.
Note: Due to the limitations set by most Android phone manufacturers, the built in microphone will not detect sounds higher than 80 Decibels (90 Decibels on certain models).
Disclaimer: This tool is not valid as a replacement to a real sound meter device and therefore, should not be used in critical situations. The mobile's microphone is not an industrially accurate sound measurement device and might produce incorrect and incompatible values with different environments and situations.
